Our Year 11 Engineering and Design Technology students had the opportunity to visit Bateson Trailers, which is a local engineering company.
The Students were given a guided tour by Mr Bateson who kindly gave up his time to inspire our next generation of students currently studying about the manufacturing processes his company. The students were able to see first hand each of the processes being used in Industry from CAD drawing, CNC machines, welding and riveting to the final outcome, a completed high-quality trailer, which was made to the client’s specification.
This valuable insight has helped the students with their understanding and revision for their GCSE’s, they even came away with a goodie bag to remind them of their trip!
